We will start with telling you the goal of the guild as that defines how we look at this game.
The goal of the guild:
- kill all ten-man bosses
- kill all ten-man hardmodes
- get all raid achievements
As you can see the goals are set quite high and we fully expect all members that raid to do their best to help the guild reach the goal.
This takes dedication and a willingnes to always keep learning and re-learning so you can play your class to its full potential.
If you want to raid easy mode for some easy epics to show off in Orgrimmar we are a bad guild for you.
If you want to show yourself that you are a great raider, if you want to challenge yourself and to feel the "OMG i can't belive we pulled that off!" rush and if you want the very best gear there is we are a great guild for you!
Ranks, rewards and responsibilites:
The guild have 3 ranks for members and when you join you can apply to become 2 of them - Social or Raider.
The last rank, Core-raider, you can only get if you have raided with us for a while as a Raider and then want to become a Core-raider.
When you apply you need to tell us what rank you want in the guild - Social or Raider.
All ranks are explained below:
Trial - is not really rank, you can be a any rank in the guild but you will be marked as trial while we decide if we want you in the guild and you if you want to be in the guild.
Scoundrels (Social) - The social member doesn't raid at all.
Outlaw (Raider) - They raid some, and have to follow all the rules we have for raids.
Villain (Core raider) - They raid alot, and they need follow some strict rules - but the rewards are great for them also. You can´t choose this rank at once when you join us.
Marked as Trial:
- Can't buy stuff from the guild bank.
- Raiders marked as Trial will get the loot no one else wants in a raid.
Scoundrel (Socials):
- Can't sign for any raids.
- Can buy stuff from the guild bank. (Cheaper than AH)
Outlaw (Raider):
- Must follow all the rules we have for raids and know how the dkp system works.
- Your gear should be gemmed with the best gems and enchanted with the best enchants for your class/spec.
- Need to have 2 professions skilled up to the the level where you get the perks, and skilled first aid so you can use the best bandages.
- Needs to have basic understanding of the boss fights in the raids we do. (Watched movie or read it)
- Have to sign for a minimum of 2 raid nights each month. (17% of the raids)
- Gets 3 dkp per boss kill.
- Can buy stuff from the guild bank. (Cheaper than AH)
Villain (Core raider):
- You need to have passed the trial and raided with us for a while if you want this rank.
- Needs to have a good understanding of the boss fights, hardmodes and achievements in the raids we do.
- Need to know your class and spec good enough to be able to teach someone the basics of your class.
(What spec is best, what glyphs to use, what gems are good, how to enchant and what rotation is the best)
It might happen that the guild management asks you to help someone of the same class that is underperforming, struggling or just needs a few pointers. If this happens you will be expected to pass your knowladge on to this member and help him/her.
- Have to sign for at least 8 raid nights each month. (66% of the raids)
- Gets 3 dkp per boss kill.
- Gets 15 dkp at the first raid.
- Can buy stuff from the guild bank at a lower price.
- Will get half of the enchanting mats for free (if the bank has it).
- 10 gold a day to use for repairs.
- Prio on raid spots over the Outlaws.
- Prio on loot over the Outlaws. (Main spec only)
As you can see we demand a lot from you if you want to be a Core-raider.
On the other hand you will get to raid more and get more loot as a Core-raider :)
To clarify a few things:
Signing but not getting a spot counts as a sign up.
If you are a raider or a core raider and don't sign for enough raids you loose the rank.
Of course if you tell us in advance that you are going away on vacation or something we will adapt for that.
If you are a raider or a core raider and break any raid rules, like not showing up, you will be warned the first time and receive a dkp penalty.
The second time you will get a dkp penalty and loose your rank for the rest of that month and the month after that, and you will be social member for that duration. And of course, people that keep breaking the rules will be removed from the guild - as always.
Raid spots:
To get a raid spot you need to apply for it in the raid signup forum.
When you sign for raids we would like you to sign like this just to make it easy for our raid leaders:
Name - Main role/Off role - days - If you want to be a reserve
Examples:
Khione - Tank - all days - Can be reserve (this is explained later)
Liamu - DPS/Tank - Sunday and Tuesday- Can be reserve (this is explained later)
Kalimu - DPS/Tank/Healer - Thursday
This means you can sign for one, two or three days each week.
If you can just come one or two days - Sign for them!!
Reserves:
When you sign for a raid you can also add that you can be a reserve for the raid.
If you are a reserve you are online the whole raid and are ready to jump in at once if needed. (meaning you are not in an instance and busy)
A raid reserve must of course be unsaved for the raid.
If you are a reserve you will get full dkp for being in time for the raid, for staying the whole raid and for each boss the raid kills.
When you raid with us you will:
1. Read tactics or watch movies on the bosses, hardmodes and achivements you will face in the raid.
2. Be online and at the starting point 10 minutes before the raid starts - or we will start looking for a replacement.
3. Be able to stay untill the raid ends.
4. Bring health or/and mana potions - Lots of them.
5. Bring flask or elixirs - enough for the whole raid.
6. Listen to what the raid leader says and follow that tactic.
7. Not go afk or do any brb - we will have planned breaks for people to get a drink and whatever.
8. Not complain how much gold it costs to raid. Raidng demands dedication, if you don't want to grind gold to pay food, flask, enchants and repairs - Don't Raid. We all spend lots and lots of gold on raids, it doesn't cost you more gold then it costs us. Blizzard have provided us with the solution to the gold issue - Daily quests.
9. All gear should be enchanted and gemmed with the best quality gems and enchants.
Raid times:
We raid 20:00 - 23:00 with the possibilty to extend untill 23:30, Thursday, Friday and Tuesday.
Here are some more stuff that we really don't want to see in our raids:
No linking of recount or any other damage/healer meter - it doesn't really show anything of value anyway.
No "I want this and this and this and this to drop tonight! And I hope this or that drops from this boss!" - We all want drops from bosses, that is one of the reasons we raid. How fun would it be if 10 or 25 people linked all they wanted every night of raiding? Just don't, please.
No "Aaaaaawwww he didn't drop this for me this time either!!!" - Everytime we kill a boss there are stuff that doesn't drop, it would be very annoying if 10 or 25 people whine every time they didn't get that epic they wanted.
When the raid leader explain tactics:
1. You don't talk on vent or write in the chat. There is no chance you are listening 100% if you're talking or writing.
And if you feel "I already know this" your talking or writing will disturb the ones that aren't 100% sure on the tactic, or maybe the raid leader is going to do something in a different way than you are used to. So listen, and only listen.
2. If you want to add something the raid leader have not said - you do that when he is done talking. See nr 1.
3. Make sure you are not "adding" anything that the raid leader has already said - Meaning you have not listened when he was talking.
4. If you think the raid leader should explain in a different way or needs to change something in the way he explains bosses - They are all happy to hear about that between raids, not during the raid.
5. If there is something you don't understand - Please ask the raid leader to explain again or in a different way. It's better that we explain once more than people doing the wrong things :)
Addons:
In the forum there is a post that will inform you of all the mandatory addons you need to get.
If you don't get these addons you are not allowed to raid with us.
There is also a post with useful addons, have a look at them too.
There you can find the DKP viewer addon made by Darkcloud.
Main Tank:
Villains by Necessity has a Guild main tank.
He will have top priority on any tank loot that drops. If anything drops that is an upgrade for him - he will get it if he wants it.
The reason we are doing this is that we want to have one well geared tank that is attending most raids and will never leave the guild.
Khione is the Guild MT.
Uncleared raids:
It is totally forbidden for anyone in the guild to go into a started raid and "finish" the job with a pug.
Raids started by the guild shall be finished by the guild, and only raid leaders are allowed to organize this.
DKP:
DKP, short for Dragon Kill Points, is the system we use to handle loot when we raid.
It works like this:
When you raid and kill bosses you will get DKP.
If you are late for raids you will lose DKP.
DKP is used to buy loot that drops in raids.
Here is the DKP tables:
Rewards:
+3 - Coming in time and being ready to start 10 minutes before the raid time.
+3 - Staying the entire raid.
+3 - killing a boss.
Penalties:
+-0 - Coming online and ready but not 10 minutes before the raid starts.
-9 - Every minute you are late, up to a max of 10 minutes. (whatever the reason is, the only reasons that might be viable are your own death or a nuclear war).
-25 - Raiding but not using 2 elixirs or 1 flask and buff food at all times..
-25 - Doing brb or beeing late back after a break.
-50 - Coming online but needing to update addons, fix stuff, so the raid can't start at the set time. (Late because of a nuclear war or an alien invasion is ok).
-50 - Beeing saved for a raid that the raid leader decides you are going to raid.
-60- Leaving before the set end time, power cuts and dc´s does count as leaving. We will wait 10 mins if you dc and then replace you and remove points.
-30 - Having a spot and telling the raid leader you can't come more than 24 hours before raid start. (if you have an equally geared replacement coming in your place you don't lose the points, but if he is late, doesn't show up, is badly geared or behaves badly, you do lose points).
-50 - Having a spot and telling the raid leader you can't come less than 24 hours before the raid starts. (if you have an equally geared replacement coming in your place you don't lose the points, but if he is late or doesn't show up you do lose points).
Sending a mail to the raid leader 26 hours before the raid that he reads 3 hours before the raid starts will count as a -50 DKP situation.
The first time you break a rule the penalty is 50% less.
The maximum amount of DKP any member can have is 250. This is simply to make it possible for new members to also stand a chance against the veteran members.
DKP will only be rewarded for raids with the guild, or co-raids organized by the guild management.
When you have earned DKP you will be able to use the points to buy loot that drops in raids.
So how does this DKP thing work?
Simple answer is bidding :)
And it works like this:
Pinarii (100 DKP) and Pinkcloud (60 DKP) are in the same raid. The trinket "Imba trinket of the purple color" drops from a boss.
This happens in ZA and the price for this trinket is then 15 DKP.
The raid leader asks who wants it and Pinarii and Pinkcloud both screams "me me me".
Then the raid leader asks them what they bid for it. Pinarii sais 15, then Pinkcloud says 20. Pinarii raises to 25 and then Pinkcloud raises to 45.
Pinarri says "ok its yours" and Pinkcloud gets the trinket for 45 DKP.
Now Pinarii still has his 100 DKP but Pinkcloud has lost 45 and now have 15 DKP.
If Pinarii had bid 65 DKP at the start he had got it at once, as Pinkcloud just had 60 and couldn't win the bidding.
That's kind of easy to understand isn't it?
Raid - kill bosses - get DKP
Be late - don't show up - leave mid raid - lose DKP
Use DKP to "buy" loot that drops.
The people that want loot bid on the loot and the one that bids the highest gets it.
Now I will try to sort out all the things that can happen with loot and this system.
1. Loot drops and costs 15 DKP. Darthbex wants it and she is the only one that wants it.
Darthbex just have 10 DKP, but as no one else wants it she gets it and is now on -5 DKP.
2. Loot drops and costs 15 DKP and Poolonfire and Jajdua both wants it. Poolonfire have 20 DKP and Jaj have 10 DKP. Pool will get the loot as Jaj dont have enough DKP. Pool will then have 5 DKP.
3. Same as above but Poolonfire have 5 DKP and Jaj 10 DKP. Then they just bid as usual and odds are that Jaj bids 10 and he gets it.
4. Bazriil is in a raid, it's her first time and she was on time but not 10 mins early, meaning she has 0 dkp.
They kill the first boss and Bazriil gets 5 DKP. The drop is a helm she really wants and to her luck no one else wants it.
She gets the helm and is now on -10 DKP.
They kill the next Boss and she gets +5 DKP, she now has -5 DKP, and the drop is a pair of gloves she wants. She is lucky again and no one wants the gloves and she ends up getting them too. She now has -20 DKP.As long as she is the only one that wants the loot she gets it and goes more and more in to negative DKP. But if someone with points says "I want that" she can't make bids. She doesn't have any points to bid with.
5. Nerdy and Elbojoclucku both want loot that drops. They both have 100 DKP and the bidding stops when both bid 100 DKP.
They /roll and Elbojoclucku wins the roll and loses 100 DKP.
So what happens when no one wants the loot that drops?
Then it will be offered to people for off specc and the price for off spec gear is half the regular price.
The specc you have in the raid will be the specc that counts as your main specc.
The dual-specs
It's simple really; the spec you have in the raid is your main spec.
If you are there as a tank, your main spec is tank.
If you are there as a healer, your main spec is healing.
If you are there as a dps, your main spec is dps.
Special arrengements can be made if you talk to the raid leader before you sign up for the raid.
This is usually when you are a dps but spec healing to help the guild with a run, or similar things.
PUG raiders
We feel we really need to give something to the people we pug.
So if one guildie and one pugie wants the loot they /roll and the winner gets it.
The guilde then looses DKP as usual.
If two guildies and one pugie wants it and if the pugie wins the /roll he gets it.
If one of the guildies wins the /roll, the bidding between the two guildies that wanted it starts.
So the first /roll between the pugie and the guildes are just to see if the loot stays in the guild, it does NOT decide who of the guildes that get the loot.
Can I see how much DKP I have?
Yes, if you whisper ?dkp to an officer you will get an automatic answer with the amount of DKP you have.
The number after the word "Net" is your DKP.
Do not ask the officers "how much DKP do I have" - whisper them ?dkp
All "How much DKP do I have?" questions will be ignored by all officers.
Leaving the guild:
If you leave the guild you lose all DKP and if you come back to the guild you start at 0 DKP.
